Whazzup?!?
Hey folks. So, once again, it's been a long time since I've posted anything and even longer since I've posted anything meaningful...if that's ever been done. What can I say? I've been busy. ;)
The last few weeks have kept me quite occupied. Work my normal 40+ at the clinic and then work a couple nights at Relion on their project. Basketball once a week with the guys. Softball one more night. Try to keep up with housework and paperwork whenever I can fine the time. Travelling/drinking/recovering on the weekends. That pretty much sums it up for me. Fortunately, the Relion project is beginning to wind down so, hopefully, I'll have some time freeing up, but I think most of that "free time" is already spoken for.
Went to SPAMJam (Hormel foods is in Austin, for those that don't know). It really was as lame as it sounds. Not even a beer tent. Honestly. How can one have a "festival" without a beer tent. You'd think these people had never been to Wisconsin. On the plus side, the fruit smoothies were delicious. The SPAM, of course, not so much.
Saw the new Batman flick. Awesome. Possibly the best Batman of the bunch, although the original, with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson is still a total classic. Of course, after you get past the Tim Burton films, the Batman series got pretty sad. Christopher Bale makes a good Batman and, since he hasn't been in a lot of other high profile roles, you can actually visualize him as Batman, rather than "Iceman" from Top Gun trying to be Batman. Plus, there's a horse that shoots fire out of its nostrils. That made the movie for me. :D Too bad Katie Holmes isn't better in the flick. Ahh, well. You can't have everything.
Started listening to a new band lately, the Dead 60s. Not bad. Modern rock stuff and pretty catchy. If you feel so inclined, check 'em out.
This weekend will be fireworks festival 2005. The wife and I will be returning home to take in fireworks shows and may very well find ourselves at various shows every night of the weekend. Only time will tell. I'm sure we'll find some time to visit sis and the ever-growing family. We'll have to check out the new Nate-pad, as well.
And what the heck is up with the Brewers? It's a simple game. You hit the ball. You throw the ball. You catch the ball. Apparently, the Brew Crew needs to go back and revisit that whole "hit the ball" thing. How many times have the Brewers' pitchers gone out and tossed 7 or 8 innings, given up a handful of hits and only a couple runs, and then earn a big, fat, loss, because the offense couldn't muster more than 2 runs. I just checked out the numbers (because I'm just that dang geeky)... The Brewers are number 8 in the majors in pitching, with a 3.84 ERA. The offense, on the other hand, ranks 26th - 5th from the bottom - with just 325 total runs. *Sigh* At least Rickie Weeks looks good.
So, yeah. That's all I got. See ya in a couple weeks...maybe...

J.J. Hardy cannot hit. Yikes. I know he skipped AAA, but man, its .175 too much to ask? Even Carlos Lee can't make up for that.
Also, Prince Fielder will dominate when he gets called up full-time.
Also, Geoff Jenkins 3 doubles??!?!?!?!? WTF?
