Son of a $*#&%!
So I've been beating my head against the wall all day today. I've been trying to copy a file through an ASP application (this would be an Internet based application, for those who care). I've been able to build entire applications in ASP but, now that I wanted to copy a file, I couldn't get it to work. Every time I'd access the page in which the file copy was to occur, the browser would just hang.
So I scoured the net looking for something to do with IIS rights or settings that must be confuigured. No dice.
Finally, I spotted something that helped. Copying files via a web page is considered by most virus scan apps to be "suspicious." I turned off my virus scan software and voila, it worked like a charm. Like I said before, Son of a!
