Yeah, so it was a rather up and down weekend for Wisconsin Badgers sports...

The Basketball Badgers mounted a nice comback against the Michigan State Spartans to win their semifinals matchup and then beat the snot out of the Big Ten champs, the Fighting Illini. Of course, all of that simply led to Wisconsin, the number 10 ranked team in the nation and winner of the Big Ten Tournament being socked with a #6 seed in the NCAA tourney. What total garbage! Even Illinois got a better seeding!

Meanwhile, the hockey Badgers fared even worse. After sweeping the regular season against Alaska-Anchorage 2-0-0, the Badgers laid an egg this weekend and lost 2 games to 1 in their best of 3 series. So, it's an early exit for the Badgers from the WCHA tourney. *sigh*

And then there are the "mighty" Pens - after a tie against Philly this weekend, their record over their last 10 games is 6-2-2. Perhaps if they had played like this all season, they wouldn't have been the first team eliminated from the playoffs. Again...*sigh*

Anyway, outside the world of sports, I'm going to be playing bachelor this week. I dropped Lizzy off at the airport this morning as she's off to Austin, Texas to work at the IBM lab down there. Right now, she's probably at O'Hare waiting for her next plane to leave. She'll be home again on Saturday...I guess it's going to be a good week for the frozen pizza companies. Yet again...*sigh*

My buddy, Nate (from here-on referred to as Tron, Big Daddy, Big Daddy Tron, or Butthead), is building himself a new computer from scratch. It's been ages since I've done that (I built my current box while I was still in college), but he's been asking for my help a lot lately. I do what I can, but I'm not really all that knowledgeable about it - I've only built 1 computer in my lifetime and I had some help doing that. Regardless, he seems to be having fun so it's all good.

Well, I think that's about enough for me for now. I imagine I should probably get something done today. ;)

Later,
Corey
