Yes, I'm Still Alive. Sorry about that.

For any of you that were hoping I was actually dead, I'm very sorry to disappoint. I'm actually still hanging around. I just haven't been blogging anything lately. Geez. Nigh on a month since I've posted anything. For those of you that have been waiting for more than a fortnight for a post, I give you this....garbage...

So what has happened since my last post, which was way back in April?

A couple weeks ago, I continued my quest for ultimate geekdom by attending a software conference up the Twin Cities. It was actually pretty cool. It went over the entire weekend so that kinda sucked, but I still got a couple days off of work to go. I sat through a lot of good discussions and even had dinner with Bruce Tate - I happen to own one of his books. Pretty good time, if you're a nerd.

While I was away, Liz's folks came up to visit and helped Liz work on her yard. They finished digging up the sod, which I had started earlier but, sadly, hadn't gotten very far on. Ron also got a tiller and dug everything up. So, now that the garden is finally prepared, Liz has been happily digging away in the mud planting all sorts of green things. At the same time, she's been busy getting thoroughly upset at the rabbits that like to hang out in the garden. It's as if we need some sort of beast master to destroy them once and for all.

Nate had a birthday, on which I bothered him only mildly. And shortly thereafter, Mother's Day came and went. Not much celebration at our place on such an occasion, but I did make a couple phone calls to the fam back home.

Liz's mom also had a birthday - I believe she's 29 now. And my dad's birthday is coming up in a few days.

So plenty to celebrate, I guess.

As for me, I've been working a lot, lately. Besides my work at the clinic, I've been doing some work on the side for the guys at Relion. Well, they've got a big project on their plates right now and it's requiring a lot of my "spare" time - mostly nights and weekends.

For the last couple days, however, I've been feeling horrible. I don't know what the problem is, but I just haven't been feeling well. I just try to keep my mind on something else (work, etc.) and move on. I'm sure it'll go away, eventually.

Anyway, I suppose that's enough for now. There's my last few weeks in a nutshell, I guess. Hopefully, it won't be so long before I take the time to post again.

Later, y'all.
